210 EO Members’ Companies Earn Recognition in the 2023 Inc. 5000

Members’ businesses ranked among the fastest-growing private companies in the United States

1 September 2023(Alexandria, VA) - Inc. magazine has published its annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the Unites States, a celebration of best-in-class entrepreneurship, and many of EO members’ companies are among those making this year’s list. Companies are ranked by overall revenue growth over a three-year period, from 2019–2022.

The Inc. 5000 list, which was first launched in 1982 and is curated annually by Inc. magazine, celebrates the remarkable growth and accomplishments of companies across various industries. More than 210 privately-owned businesses founded or led by EO members from across the United States have earned a spot on this esteemed list this year. Among the 5,000 recognized, seven EO member-owned companies ranked in the top 100 companies on the list.

"EO’s Global Board and I are very proud and happy for our peers whose companies made it into this highly competitive list and we celebrate their achievements," said Lynn Anstett, Global Chair for the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and member of EO Cincinnati. “Their collective and individual growth over the past three years, which were among the most tumultuous and challenging for business owners in history, is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit and resilience of our members, who support each other all year long.”

To qualify for the Inc. 5,000 2023 list, companies had to complete an application and meet the publication’s criteria:

  • Companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2019.
  • Companies must be US-based, privately held, for profit and independent--not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies--as of December 31, 2022.
  • The minimum revenue required for 2019 was US$100,000; the minimum for 2022 was US$2 million.
