Forum

A member-led, confidential, peer-sharing program

What would you give for the ability to tap into a group of 7-10 fellow business owners who can offer you direction based on their experiences? Your Forum is designed to meet your unique needs as an entrepreneur and help you reach new measures of success and significance. Held monthly, Forum meetings allow you to dig deep, personally and professionally, in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

EO has provided me with a great, trusted circle of friends. I have been in a Forum for 14 years, with primarily the same 10 guys. I attribute so much of Spanx’s success to the advice I’ve received from these brilliant business owners in the trusted, confidential EO format.

EO Atlanta

Moderator-trained EO members guide the sessions, which emphasize confidentiality, personal responsibility and lessons learned. Members don’t give advice; they speak from prior experience, letting you draw your own conclusions on how to best proceed. Upon joining EO, your chapter’s Forum Chair will work to get you in a Forum, and will ensure that you are placed with the right number and mix of business owners to avoid sharing the room with competitors.

Forum is our most highly rated member benefit— just ask Muaz Kadi, an EO Saudi Arabia – Jeddah member who leveraged Forum to refine his approach to business:

Trusting my Forum was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As I walked away from my Forum that day, I felt very thankful, hopeful, optimistic and glad to be a part of such a supportive team. I left feeling completely tuned and modified. I got what I needed all along: other engines to help refuel my own. [Forum is] truly a one-stop shop for an entrepreneur’s needs.

Our Forum program is under constant development and improvement, and new groups—like MyEO, regional and spousal Forums—are always in formation at the chapter level. In fact, we now offer five new formats in our Advanced Forum Series, all of which dive deeper into specific challenges faced by the entrepreneur. You can join a Forum in your area as a member of EO. SLP Forum has played an important part of my life over the last 25 years that my husband James has been a member of EO.

I have been privileged to be a part of two forums - My first forum over 20 years ago was pivotal in helping me to negotiate our busy life with young kids and a growing business.

While my current forum has been instrumental in supporting me to step out of my comfort zone and begin a business of my own, while constantly challenging me mentally and physically to learn and grow at each new stage of life.

The diversity of age and life experiences found in my SLP forum is energising and enlightening and the commonalties we all have as partners of EO Members is an invaluable support in my life.

They are more than friends - they are my Forum Buddy’s - a group of people I know I can share my deepest hopes and fears with and there will be empathy and support but always a group that will hold me accountable and value personal responsibility.

EO Sydney

My Forum experience has been great as it has provided me the ability to discuss issues that in the past, even though I had my wife’s thought’s, I felt like I was having to deal with the difficulties by myself.

I now have a group of other entrepreneurs, that have become good friends that want me to succeed, that will listen to my problems and experience, share similar experiences they have had, and this makes decisions less taxing. I have learned to attach feelings to problems, and this also helps me make better decisions. My only regret is that I wish I would have joined EO during the early years of my business career, as I know it would have been a huge advantage.

My partner Hans is an EO member and has been for nearly 20 years. I can say without doubt that the value he receives in EO is multiplied many times over through my attendance and commitment to SLP forum.

I joined an SLP forum 2 years ago and I am now Moderator of my forum.

SLP Forum has given me personally a diverse and valuable community who support my professional and personal growth, with our monthly forum meetings - a chance to reset, regroup, reconnect and learn learn learn.

It has also given me the chance to know and understand myself and partner better. We learn and grow using similar mechanisms (EO forum tools), our communication is based on a shared philosophy of education and responsibility and together we attend incredible, OIL events.

Forum has been a life changing experience for me. It made me realize I am not alone with my business and life challenges and provided me with very relevant solutions and enlightenments. Speaking from experience and being aware not to judge or share opinions is something I have been practicing outside Forum; that practice made a palpable difference with regards to my relationships with everyone around me. I’m lucky to have my Forum and very proud of my Forum members

Gilbert Rustom

EO Riyadh

For me the forum has been of a lot of support in my personal, family and business, the first thing is that I can notice that the experience or feeling is not only mine and someone has been to similar situations and also the experiences or questions from the forum helps me clarify, calm or look for another paths of solution. When someone shares vulnerable things all the forum gets vulnerable, and we do more sharing
